This Bathwick house is the ideal getaway: a stunning 10-minute level walk into Bath yet close to countryside too. A scenic level walk through the famous Sydney Gardens takes you into central Bath. It's very near the fabulous Holbourne Museum (Lady Danbury's house!) Two double bedrooms upstairs, one is on the ground floor. All have fantastic views of Solsbury Hill or gardens. Sleeps 6. Lounge overlooks private garden and views of rolling hills beyond. Driveway parking for 1 average-sized car.
The space
As you walk down the private drive and go inside, you will see the bright clean kitchen directly ahead of you. Ground floor shower room is to your right, spacious sunny front lounge-diner is to your right. The double ground floor bedroom is at the back of the house, on the right, overlooking a well-maintained garden and pear tree. Bright, clean kitchen.
Upstairs is a family bathroom and the other 2 rooms: the master bedroom at the back, with stunning views across Bath, showing you Solsbury Hill, Little Solsbury Hill, Camden Crescent, Larkhall, Landsdown and Charlcombe Hills beyond. The view is ever-changing and lovely to watch. At the front of the house is the smaller double room, which enjoys great views of this private garden estate and the stunning National Trust parklands and Bathampton down beyond (accessible walks are outlined in the guide book.)
The other top floor bedroom is used for linen storage and not accessible.
You also get access to a very nice private back garden, with seat. It's a quiet family road.
