Newly constructed Cabin (2021) situated on 30 acres near the Big Black River basin and Benton, MS. The cabin features a king size bed downstairs along with a full size futon, full kitchen with microwave, oven, stove and refrigerator, 3/4 bath with shower along with outdoor shower on the back porch. The screened in front porch overlooks the two acre pond (recently restocked, but not ready to be fished yet) and is a great place to relax and watch the sun go down. There is a tv with air antenna but no Wi-Fi or cable... bring a good book instead. The land is largely open with a trail cut through the wooded area, around the pond, and the property perimeter. The location is very rural, however, Benton is just a few miles to the North and Bentonia is a few miles to the Southwest. Bentonia is home to the the "Blue Front Café", the oldest juke joint in Mississippi, and is run by Blues legend Jimmy "Duck" Holmes. "Bentonia Bugs" is also in Bentonia and is a great place to grab dinner and a drink. Both places usually have live entertainment. Coleman's Steakhouse is located in Benton, they serve steaks/seafood, Hamburgers, and home-made desserts. Also in Benton, there is "Berrys"... its located in the back of an old gas station/feed store but they have some of the best burgers and BBQ around. A few miles further up the road from Benton is Yazoo City, MS. Hometown of Zig Ziglar, Jerry Clower and Willie Morris. Willie Morris is buried in the beautiful old Glenwood Cemetery along with the witch of Yazoo and several hundred confederate soldiers.
