The Goddard Place is located 5 miles East of Anna off of Route 146. We only have one cabin. It is close to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, the Southern Illinois Wine Trail and the Shawnee National Forest. Your cabin features a living area with a sleeper sofa (for the young ones in the family), a recliner, a 32' flat screen television with DirecTV and a DVD player. The kitchenette includes a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, dishes, glassware and silverware. The queen sleigh bed, jacuzzi tub and lavatory complete the room. There is a shower and plenty of towels are provided. All you need to bring is your provisions!!

Summary: My husband and I just wanted a quiet get away to do absolutely nothing. We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of our jobs and home. I wanted to read a book, and he loves to fish. He walked to the pond; I sat on the deck (when it wasn't raining.) We were able to use the grill a couple of times in between showers. There was wildlife, deer, turtles, and birds to entertain. Town had an antique shop, and we visited neighboring towns for more shops and ate a meal in Carbondale which was about 30 minutes away. It was a very nice get away!
