This studio is located on the ski corridor and can be accessed via ski in from the Mary Jane Base. Ski out takes you to the nearly brand new Gondola, which replaced the old Zephyr lift. PLEASE NOTE: The ski corridor opens when the Mary Jane side opens, which is dependent on snowfall. Opening dates vary from before Thanksgiving to just before Christmas.
STUDIO AMENITIES - Queen Murphy bed (BRAND NEW), Twin XL bunk beds (Please note - the top bunk has a 150# weight limit, and the lower bunk has a 225# weight limit), full sized kitchen with all new appliances, Flat screen tv with Comcast cable, free WiFi, Full bath with shower/tub. The studio comes fully equipped for all of your needs. We take pride in providing a kitchen you can actually cook in, with plenty of pots, pans, baking dishes, etc...
IRON HORSE RESORT - Iron Horse is located halfway between the Mary Jane Base and the Winter Park base. The unit is on the 3rd floor and access to the ski runs are through the bridge on the 5th floor. There is an elevator and a stairwell that takes you there. There is ski storage immediately adjacent to the corridor. Amenities also provided at the resort include parking under the building for one vehicle (Please note - vehicle height limited to 6'5"), an indoor/outdoor combination pool, two giant hot tubs, a workout room, steam rooms, a game room, and meeting areas. Curing the warmer months of spring, summer and fall, the ski corridor is a walking path that will take you to all the shops and restaurants in the village. Massage treatments as well as a full ski rental shop are also located on site.
WINTER PARK SKI AREA - The Winter Park ski area is ranked #1 in the Country by USA Today. Encompassing 3,060 acres and 144 runs, there is skiing available for all skill levels. Du to elevation and proximity to the Continental Divide, Winter Park averages 350" of snow per year, more than the vast majority of the resorts in Colorado.
SUMMERTIME - Located in the Arapahoe National Forest, Iron Horse is in a fantastic setting. Gas grills and outdoor chairs and tables are available to use. There is a nice gazebo on site, next to the headwaters of the Fraser River, which flows through the property. Located at nearly two miles above sea level, summers provide a wonderful atmosphere, and never too hot. The climate is so nice, air conditioning is not installed in any of the homes around Winter Park. The base area of Winter Park offers the longest alpine slide in the State, scenic gondola rides, plentiful hiking, mini golf, and mountain biking at the famous Trestle Bike Park.
