Perfect for friend or family get togethers! Lovely views surrounded by wonderful countryside in a quiet hamlet just a short walk from one of France’s most beautiful villages, Usson.
We are situated in the Livradois-Forez National Park.
A Wine and cheese lovers paradise. Lots of hill top villages to explore and many outdoor activities. This part of France is really a hidden gem, far from the crowds of the Dordogne or south of France.
In the gîte you’ll find a huge living/dining room, 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 recently renovated bathrooms, 2WCs, a conservatory overlooking the fields and a recently renovated fully fitted and equipped kitchen. The house is decorated with many items from our expatriations abroad.
Outside are two terraces, a BBQ and a lawn area.
We have been classified a 4* holiday let by Gites de France.
The downstairs of the house is cool in summer and warm in winter due to the thick walls and vaulted ceiling.
You’ll be surrounded by nature. We have many birds, deer, red squirrels, badgers and bats on the property which totals 22 acres. We are protected garden (refuge LPO) with the French equivalent of the RSPB.
Come and help us feed the goats and horses, collect fresh eggs from the chickens.
If you like walking, there’s a footpath accessible from the house.
In summer, if it’s hot just a short 10 minute drive away, there’s a lovely lake with a restaurant where you can go swimming, rent pédalos and have fun at the rope park.
Easy access as we are only 8mins from the motorway.
We are registered with the town hall in Usson and the Issoire Tourist Information Centre.
We now have a dedicated metered EV charging unit to slow charge electric or hybrid cars overnight in our barn. Please ask if you would like to use this charger. We kindly ask to be reimbursed for the electricity used. Wedding guests from weddings at the Chateau de Bois Rigaud are welcome.
