Summary: Room is wonderful but if you have mobility issues ask for handicapped because tub is extremely high. No luggage rack. Now the food was just awful other than breakfast. No food service other than breakfast on Sunday. So good luck finding a dinner because nothing available in the hood. Eli the step down restaurant doesn’t serve sandwiches or fries but the special of the day was trout belly with rice. I had a pasta dish and a salad comprised mainly of baby arugula you would be surprised at the cost but portion was similar to a tasting menus. Advice to owners hire a chef who will cook fish and chips and Shepherds Pie. Then bar was attached to the reservations, only restaurant so if you wanted to come and have a gin and tonic you felt out of place in tennis shoes. Hotel staff consisted of very nice, hard working people but I didn’t have interaction with most of them, HOWEVER at checkout you will find the mandatory service charge which was explained as tipping the staff! I tip for service. They added on taxes well beyond what I paid for when booking. Take a pass and stay in a tourist area.
