Every unit is self-contained with its own bathroom and private entrance. The two-floor layout naturally creates two wings, upper and lower, giving large groups a way to organize without being on top of each other. Cedar's upper-floor balcony and Cypress's ground-level patio give the group two distinct outdoor perches overlooking Eighth Street.

The Timberline Collection is a character-filled older building that's been remodeled with genuine care. Economy upscale, thoughtfully done, well-maintained, and priced for groups who want the real Traverse City experience without the resort markup. THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Right on the TART Trail, steps from The Filling Station, Raduno, and some of TC's best local restaurants and shops. This is a real, alive neighborhood, and there's a nightclub behind the building that picks up in the evenings. Every unit is equipped with a sound machine. Groups taking the full building tend to lean into the energy of the block anyway, it's part of why this corner of TC is so worth staying in. Worth knowing in advance either way.
