Positive: Apartment was as described on booking.com except we should have had a balcony but did not, but not really an issue. Apartment is large and comfortable, has high quality washer and dryer with all supplies required in apartment. There are no staff on site except the end of stay cleaners, but if you need any supplies, during day ask one of the cleaners and they will get what you need. Size of apartment is really impressive, large bed, and facilities were clean and as described. Location - it's exactly as described - we used Uber to broadway and cost £4-5 in morning and £6-8 return early evening. There is a bus stop outside the building which takes you downtown. Parking - booking.com states free parking in area. There is a parking garage with limited and tight spaces, but during our stay we always got a parking space. A lot of the parking I saw on arrival in immediate area is paid parking on open lots, and Avantstay app tells you if no space in garage you have to pay for parking - this was not clear on booking.com. But there is free street parking I think on a residential street just around corner on McFerrin Avenue. There is a nice rooftop terrace on the property. Before getting to the Bad, I have to say the telephone support from Avantstay was excellent. No issues with the support at all it was excellent, once I was able to contact them.

Negative: Bad The check in process - this really needs to be sorted out by Booking.com and Carter/Avantstay. I was expecting some sort of key handover at arrival which is what booking.com states. It turns out that I should have received an email from Avantstay 3 days before arrival with checkin details, which would have told me to download the Avantstay app, verify my ID then I would have been sent apartment number, with key codes for access doors and room. I was faced with having to call or text Avantstay on a US number, which being from UK we did not have as only using data emsim. I downloaded the app, but it would not let me select the arrival day as it was greyed out as day had started. There is no help at hotel, no response to booking.com app messages. I eventually bought and installed an Esim with a US phone number - and managed to call the helpline - who got me sorted, but had to upload driving licence then verify with face scan not easy in dark garage or bright sun outside. If I had read more recent reviews on booking.com I would have seen this, but none of the reviews had this at time of my booking. Noise - states property is in a quiet neighbourhood, but there can be a fair bit of noise - property acknowledges this - supply ear plugs and bedroom has noise cancelling machine which we have never used before. Also lots of noise carries in from corridor and rooms above. The AC unit is also extremely loud when it starts up. So was not the easiest to sleep. There is some train horn noise through the night and some heavy lorries use the road the building is situated on.
