The house is built on a curved point of beach giving unobstructed, spectacular water views from both the ground and first floors. Beautiful, open plan, modern beach home is nestled literally in the back of the sand dunes of Nicholas Beach. Walk through the front door into the ground floor with fantastic ocean views! The main living area is on the first floor where you will find even more magnificent 240 degree ocean views including Prince Edward Island. Walk for miles on the warm, sandy, uncrowded beach. You may see the occasional kayaker, paddle boarder or kite surfer pass by on the calm waters but the water nor the beach will EVER be crowded, busy or noisy! It will feel like your own private beach with only a handful of others relaxing while taking in the sun and salt air. We have the warmest waters north of Virginia with summer water temperatures reaching 84F!
In addition to the upscale, modern, beachy interior with three living areas and a home gym the house boasts three out door living spaces with comfortable chairs, sofas and dining table and chairs. A front porch - 200 sqft. A fairly light lit patio under the upper deck with access from the yard as well as through sliding glass doors in the family room on ground floor - 550 sqft. The upper deck with access from the first floor living room and stairs to the yard and patio below - 300 sqft. The deck has glass safety railing so as not to not obstruct your wonderful views.
The house sits on just under one acre of land that is laid mainly with grass lawn accented with flower beds. Lawn care is provided as is weekly house keeping including laundering bedding and towels.
One bay in the double garage will be for your use/car but there is ample parking for several more vehicles on the paved driveway. You will approach the property via a private road only used by residents or those visiting residents. The house is equipped with monitored fire and carbon monoxide detectors and all of the amenities that you would expect in a home of this style.
Seafood lovers paradise! Fresh lobster, snow crab, oysters, scallops, PEI muscles and all of the other delicacies that the sea has to offer are available near by in restaurants or to take home and prepare yourself. You can even buy directly from the fishermen when they come in with their catches at the wharfs. There are also plenty of choices for the meat lovers and vegetarians amongst us!
***PLEASE NOTE: As we didn't know that we were going to be renting our property until February many of the pictures were taken in mid-winter. We have tried to intersperse those winter pictures with summer outside pictures to show the sand, dunes and ocean. The sand and dunes are covered in snow while the ocean is frozen for a couple of hundred of feet from the beach out.
