Summary: Would first of all like to say what an obliging host Jeremy was. Communication was quick and helpful. Check in information was good, especially as it was very short notice. Unfortunately the property is in dire need of refurbishment. We felt there is inadequate lighting to the stairs up to the apartment. We also found it difficult to get our cases up the next flight of stairs which has a tight dog leg to the bedrooms and bathrooms. We had a few frozen items which we were unable to put in the freezer as it was FULL of ice. Great view of the castle from the lounge windows. Secondary glazing was perfectly adequate in keeping out draughts and noise. There is extensive damage to the ceiling in the lounge, paper hanging down & staining. Unable to watch any of the main UK TV channels as there doesn’t appear to be an ariel attached. Bedding was clean and bed was comfortable. Wardrobe was adequate. Compact bathroom. Nice clean suite, shame the decor and leak damage let it down.
