Summary: Alright, let's start with the positives ;
1) Super friendly staff
2) The bed was really comfortable
3) The place was really quiet , couldn't hear any sounds.
Now let's do the negatives:
1) The breakfast was a joke, I have never seen a breakfast as bad as this one, I am not sure if the owner reads these reviews... but if you are reading this, you can't claim you offer breakfast. This is what they got for breakfast : Apples, bread ( not even outside the plastic bag), coffee and 2 cereals, butter and 1 type of jam, milk and orange juice, muffins ( Who eat muffins for BF??). Not even water was available.
2) They don't clean your room everyday. Not even to give fresh towels.
3) Everything is old, like... from the 90's I guess or even older, the aircon could not cope with the hot weather
4) The whole place feels like it was abandoned, the pool area with lots of trees fallen down, the gym which was permanently closed , The pool bar was also closed, I am really not sure what happened on this place, I guess at some point on the 90's was a really nice place, but now it's just old, abandoned and neglected which is a shame.
5) when I was talking to my taxi driver and I told him I was staying there he felt sorry for me... the place have some kind of bad reputation I guess.
6) The wifi... if you are close to the reception you are good, but if you are staying at the back rooms, it does not work.
You can say you get what you paid for.

Summary: This place could be so much more. It seems a little run down. The continental breakfast is just sad. The pool is nice and so is the staff.

Summary: The place was little outdated but overall nice, the bed was little tough and hard but doable. It’s super convenient to the ports and reasonable price. Breakfast was just consist of cereal, bread, muffins and juice.

Summary: The rooms were dirty and the flooring was buckled and a trip hazard. The room door would not close without slamming it and was difficult to push open. No coffee cups in the room and for 1 adult and 3 children we had 2 bath towels, 1 wash cloth, and 1 hand towel. The toilet was so low to the floor like the kind you find in an elementary school. No fan in the bathroom. When I complained I was told, "what do you want me to do about it". I will never stay at that location again. The breakfast consisted of mini muffins, fruit loops or corn flakes, Bread that was in a bread loaf that many hands could have already touch. Milk and OJ was in a gallon jug that many hands had touched. We did not get our moneys worth out of the stay. We had to go to breakfast every morning which cost over $30 each meal.

Summary: At its price point, Island Hotel was a good stay. We stayed here 1 night prior to our cruise. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dated with corroded faucets and shower head, but that was fine for the one night that we stayed. A couple of the lights didn't work but wasn't a deal breaker. If you need an affordable stay for a night or two, Island Hotel will be just fine.

Summary: This hotel is very old and everything seems original and in need or being renovated. That said, the room was clean enough. The bed comfortable and was well located to where we needed to be. I didnt want to spend a lot of money for a one night stay to attend a party, so understand you get what you pay for.

Summary: Helpful front desk staff on duty 24 hours. Arrived after midnight from late night flight for cruise. Had called and talked to desk to inform them of late arrival, no worries. A/C was cold & bed was comfortable. Pool looked nice though did not use. Property can use updating though only stayed short time. Breakfast selection was limited with cold cereals, bananas, white bread to toast and some mini muffins. Paper menus that were taped to tables and now half way torn off showed menu of cooked/hot breakfast offerings from better days. OK for the quick overnight stay that we used Hotel for from our late flight, some rest then on to the Cruise Port.
