The Beach Suite is located in one of the most popular destinations in the private Amelia Island Plantation. Here you will find 3.5 miles of uncrowded beaches, 6 miles of biking and walking trails and many other activities, all within the gates of this world-class resort community. Guests can easily walk to the resort village for dining, shopping, mini golf, and the Nature Center for Segway and Kayak Tours. The resort provides the perfect little collection of boutiques, restaurants, chapel and art gallery, with live music often being offered on weekends.
This location is ideal. You can park your car and never need to get in it until it's time to depart. However, if you do so choose to explore more your options are endless. In the resort itself there are many parks and playgrounds. Drummond Park on the river side of the resort offer free Ping Pong, Pickleball Courts (we have rackets for your use), Basketball Court, Playgrounds and Pétanque Court. At Drummond Park you'll also find boardwalks that meander out along the salt marsh giving you an amazing vista, where you may see great blue herons, egrets, or some of the many other water birds that inhabit this area. Also a visit to Walkers Landing to enjoy viewing the beautiful Walkers Creek, the perfect spot for fishing and enjoying the sunset.
**Please be advised this property is in the Omni's Resort and does not give you access to some of the resort amenities (the main Omni hotel pool, fitness center or shuttle service). The Racquet Park is available for paid tennis and pickleball clinics or private lessons. The Sandcastles pool for your use is the one in the photos. Guests do have access to the resort's restaurants, shops, parks, trails and spa, as well as the Little Sandy Golf, Pickleball Courts and Pétanque Courts in Drummond Park.
Guests may rent golf carts, kayaks and bikes in the Resort or other vendors outside the Resort who deliver for much less than the resort pricing. We do offer beach chairs and an umbrella. If you prefer a lounger type chair Sunsetters provide loungers and umbrellas for a daily fee, set up for you on the beach, order online or call Phone: (904) 557-4393. Club 14 Fitness offers a full gym with daily rates, about a 10 minute drive.
The historic town of Fernandina Beach with shops, restaurants and scenic harbor is about a 15 minute drive. In town you will find the oldest seaport in the US with a rich heritage that has been under eight different country flags. You may also enjoy strolling around downtown at night among the enchanting lighted trees. If you choice to get on the water there are jet skis, parasails, boat tours, inland/offshore fishing charters and sailing charters available. A short ferry ride from St Mary's takes you to Cumberland Island, one of the most beautiful national seashores and not to be missed.
Cancellation Refund Policy:
We want to remind you that Hurricane Season runs from June 01 to November 30. You may want to consider travel insurance to protect your vacation investment during this time. We do not issue refund due to weather and will only refund for hurricanes if the roads on Amelia Island are officially closed.
In the event you have to cancel please let us know and then cancel on the VRBO site. ***We will do our best to get another booking for your cancelled dates. We will reimburse you for the nights that get booked(which maybe a lower nightly rate), minus any fees from VRBO. Please note that our cancellation policy is more favorable to the guest than what is offered by VRBO.
