Inspired by European inns and appreciation for regional art, Rose Jean offers 5 boutique hotel-like rooms steps from Charlottesville's downtown pedestrian mall. Located in a repurposed historic building built in 1920, the rooms at Rose Jean are designed to be a modern, independent lodging experience, so there is no front desk, onsite staff or formal check-in. Summary: Perfect for our group of 3 couples. Location is great for access to the adorable downtown mall and easy to get to hikes, vineyards, breweries, Monticello, etc. Bang restaurant next door was never loud. The only negative was the lack of a small sink/dish soap. We just used one of the empty bedrooms as our ‘kitchen’ space. Only a minor inconvenience. We had long and adventurous days and slept beautifully in the comfortable beds. Great spot!
