Positive: Driftwood is in a fabulous location , moments from Polzeath beach

Negative: The bungalow needs a bit of tender loving care - various things don’t work that well ( heaters, freezer, shower), garden is unloved and the property also a bit damp, especially the bunk bedroom which also had many many spiders webs with resident spiders! . These issues didn’t spoil our holiday but for the comparatively pricey rent , I think it does need upgrading. I sent detailed info on the issues to Sykes the letting agent at the end of our stay so hopefully they could fix things for future guests - disappointingly despite asking for a response to my points raised, they didn’t bother to reply ….. sigh. This makes me question whether they will fix things. Overall the bungalow is pretty small to squeeze in 6 people and it also only has a small under the counter fridge ( with a tiny freezer compartment at the top) so don’t arrive with lots of food! ; plus to note it DOESN’T have a washing machine.

Summary: We had a great holiday and loved the location; the property could / should be improved though.
