Cwary Vean was built by Viscount Clifton, circa 1900. The single storey cottage has light, spacious rooms with high ceilings. An enclosed veranda with table and chairs is the perfect place to take in the sea view or to catch the winter sun. The garden patio area catches the Summer sun from rising to setting. There is a private gate from the garden onto the lane leading down through a grass meadow over a brook less than 10 minutes to Polurrian beach and the coastal path. Situated midway between village and beach, Cwary Vean is ideal for walkers or beach lovers, but conveniently placed as a centre from which to explore the peninsular's wide diversity of villages, beaches, estuaries, woods,moors and exotic gardens. The accommodation is spacious and airy in summer but, with central heating and a log burner cosy and warm in Winter. There is too much to see and visit in a single week on the peninsular-which means I frequently get returning visitors and have made many friends who come every year. Some guests come purely for the peace and quiet of our valley location-they park the car on arrival and do not use it again until it's time to leave. Others use the cottage as a convenient centre to range far and wide (or just to go to the beach every day).
