Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Exceptionally well equipped and comfortable. The cottage is very close to the centre of the village yet very quiet. This is the best rental property we have experienced in the UK (and Italy where we spend many holidays). The views over the sea and Portscatho village are amazing.

Negative: Even after speaking to the letting agents the arrangements for refuse and recycling collection were unclear. We could find no bin outside the property for non-recyclable waste. After I phoned the agents they agreed to collect the food and general waste from the property. As a further complication the refuse collection is by a private company yet there was a local council refuse collection timetable in the kitchen to confuse mattesr even further. Secondly we could find no instructions for the water heater so we resorted to finding a user manual on the internet. Admittedly these are issues that can easily be rectified. They did however prompt our reduced rating for the hosts.

Summary: A wonderful week only slightly marred by administrative issues.
