Positive: The room was pleasant enough and it’s handy for travelling long distances up and down the M6

Negative: I stayed on a Monday night and drove past it initially as it was in complete darkness. When I found my way to reception I was informed that the restaurant and bar doesn’t open in the winter months which wasn’t made clear when I booked it. I was also put in a room right next to the busy road so I was disturbed from early morning by headlight glare and truck noise. There are plenty of rooms a little back from the road so I don’t know why I was put in there and as the reception was unmanned not long after my arrival I couldn’t request a room change. If I would have known that the facilities weren’t open I would have stayed elsewhere in Moffat.

Summary: I’m sure it’s pleasant when open. Just check if the restaurant and bar is open before you book.
