Its bay window offers the opportunity to sit out in the green in all weathers. Enjoy the pleasant atmosphere in the spacious living area and the fully equipped kitchen. In 2023 the State Garden Show took place in Höxter (14 km), a large part of the beautiful grounds is still preserved as a local recreation area.
The house is located in the climatic health resort of Vörden on the southern slope of the Hungerberg in western Weserbergland, not far from the former Benedictine Abbey of Marienmünster. It offers space for three adults plus one child. We are also happy to provide a travel cot for infants/babies.
The nearby adventure playground and mini golf course as well as a small playground with cable car, swings, slide and football goal within the grounds are particularly attractive for families. Hiking and cycling trails (R1) allow you to explore the marvellous natural surroundings. In the village centre, 1.5 km away, you will find a supermarket, doctor, pharmacy, pizzeria, snack bar and an indoor swimming pool with sauna area.
Marienmünster is situated in an important cultural landscape with many places of interest: World Heritage Site Corvey Monastery and Castle, Fürstenberg Porcelain Manufactory, Westphalian Open-Air Museum Detmold (Germany's largest open-air museum), Detmold Old Town, Externsteine, Hermannsdenkmal, the artists' town of Schwalenberg and Schiederstausee. In the district town of Höxter (14 km away) you can go shopping or take a Weser boat trip from there.
A highlight for families is the Godelheimer See leisure centre (16 km). Here you can swim for free, relax on the sandy beach and explore the many play and climbing equipment or play beach volleyball. There is only a car park fee to pay.
We definitely recommend a cycle tour along the Weser towards Holzminden/ Bodenwerder or Bad Karlshafen, past Herstelle Monastery and the Skywalk.

The small bedroom is furnished with: Single bed 0.90m x 2.00m with the possibility of another pull-out bed, which is only suitable for children 0.90m x 2.00m see photos, a small wardrobe see photo. So 2 children or one adult can sleep in the room. Please orientate yourself by the photos.
