All along the coast you have the opportunity for a decent catch, fishing on the sea can be especially productive north and south of Haderslev. If you want to get to know the city life, then this can be done after a car ride of 20 min. Besides some stores, you will find a lot of culture and music. A day trip to Legoland or a trip to Danfoss Universe are easily possible from the house. In the cottage area many houses are being built, so there may be construction noise.
