Ideally located between the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, there is a plethora of scenic walks through the rolling hills and valleys as well as exhilarating cycle routes and many friendly country pubs.
Inside, the open plan interior has been beautifully designed and finished to a very good standard. There is underfloor heating throughout to keep you nice and toasty whatever the weather, and the windows have been perfectly positioned to give you gorgeous glimpses of the surrounding countryside. The kingsize bed can also be made up as a twin and is perfect for lazy mornings spent spotting the local wildlife. Outside, the owners have thoughtfully created two seating areas so you can follow the sunshine all day, and at night, enjoy a glass of wine while gazing up at the stars above.
Situated within farmland, in the village of Rathmell, this wonderful countryside retreat is ideal for couples and friends seeking an idyllic escape. Lapwing Barn Hen Hut is perfectly positioned between two national parks which is great for those who love walking and outdoor pursuits. The bustling market town of Settle is close by with an array of local independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants together with a railway covering the famous Settle-Carlisle line, passing over the majestic Ribblehead Viaduct. Just further on from there you will reach the Yorkshire three peaks, which you can even spot from the property, they are great fun to walk individually or take on all three at once for a 26 mile long challenge from which you will be rewarded with some of the most spectacular views in the country.
The Ribble Valley is also within easy reach, with lots of picturesque villages featuring babbling becks and country inns. The Lake District National Park can be reached within an hour as can the Fylde Coast.
