Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: I arrived close to midnight and was given a private room instead of a bunk bed in a dorm, probably to not disturb others sleeping. The staff also provided an extension cable with the appropriate socket for my charger. The location was truly excellent, in the midst of the old town but on a side street, so not nousy as it can be with bars and singing thru late evening.

Negative: It wasn't very easy to locate, but given good instructions, I found the hostel. Here's the detailed direction. From the fast train shuttle bus final stop at Qifeng square, go up the main street where the shuttle bus came down before turning into the square. Cross to the opposite side and walk about 10 minutes, until the Luckin Coffee shop, pass it and turn down the lane, left of Luckin. This winds down to almost the end with a biggish hotel to the left, there's a lane next to it. Enter that and again follow the winding until number 15, where the hostel is.
